§ Mr. Geoffrey Finsbergasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what additional steps he is taking to ensure that local authorities submit Form P11 in the requisite time period.
§ Mr. FreesonCircular 33/76, issued in March, said that consideration would be given to withdrawing the general approval and refusing special approvals for acquisitions if a local authority persistently failed to make its quarterly returns. I hope that this will ensure that returns are submitted promptly in future and that such a step will not be necessary.
