§ Mr. Stanbrookasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will give the figures of dependants of (a) New Commonwealth citizens, (b) United Kingdom passport holders and (c) Pakistan citizens admitted for settlement annually since 1965, showing separately the figures for admission of (i) wives, (ii) husbands, (iii) children under 18 years of age, (iv) children over 18 and under 21 years of age, (v) parents, (vi) grandparents, (vii) distressed relatives, (viii) fiancés and (ix) fiancées of the original entrant in each case.

Table 1 below gives details of the numbers of citizens of New Commonwealth countries. 229W of United Kingdom Passport Holders (non patrial) and of citizens of Pakistan admitted for settlement as dependants during the period 1965–1972 inclusive. For these years children are defined as those aged under 16.
Table 2 gives similar information relating to the period 1973 to 1975; during this period children are defined as those aged under 18.
