§ Mr. Gouldasked the Secretary of State for Social Services when he expects Part II of the Children Act 1975 to be brought into effect.
§ Dr. OwenDescisions about the phased implementation of the Children Act are being taken in consultation with the local authority associations. Part II is not in the agreed programme for 1976–77. The Government will be consulting the associations informally soon about the prospects for the next phase.
