§ Mr. Sproatasked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether, in the light of his present policy regarding the payment of fuel subsidies to the fishing industry, he will discuss with the EEC authorities the full subsidy made available to the French fishing industry by the French Government.
§ Mr. William RossThe EEC sanction which member States were enabled to pay fuel subsidies if they wished came to an end on 31st December 1975. The French authorities have affirmed that in the meantime no such aid is being paid in France.
