§ Mr. Blakerasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether he will make a statement on the present state of negotiations relating to Greece's application to join the EEC.
§ Mr. HattersleyIt is expected that by early April detailed consideration of the Greek application will have begun within the Community and that a first report will be made to the Council in May. It could be that negotiations will open formally before the summer holidays, but they will probably not get down to serious business until the autumn.
