§ Mr. PeartI believe that the measures which I announced on 8th March provide producers in this country with an adequate level of support. I did not consider, therefore, that a devaluation of the green pound was called for, in view of the effect of such an adjustment on food prices. I shall continue, however, to keep the green pound under review.
