§ Mr. Gryllsasked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he intends to consult the Justices' Clerks' Association and the Magistrates' Association on the legislation to enforce compulsory wearing of seat belts.
§ Dr. GilbertI understand that in 1973 the Justices' Clerks' Society and the Magistrates' Association were included 185W in consultations on the means of intensifying the use of seat belts, and commented on the possibility of making this compulsory. I intend to include them in consultations about draft Regulations under the Road Traffic (Seat Belts) Bill.
