§ 20. Mr. Adam Hunterasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he is satisfied with the rate of private house building in Scotland; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. Hugh D. BrownCurrent trends in private house building in Scotland are very encouraging. Starts increased steadily during 1975, and in the last quarter there were some 3,500, about double the number in the last quarter of 1974. This reflects buoyant demand, increasing confidence on the part of the builders and adequate building society funds for lending.
