§ Mr. MarksThe average life of a tungsten lamp on minor road lighting schemes is about three months, and that for a sodium lamp about 18 months. It is estimated that sodium lighting can achieve an annual maintenance saving of about £8 per lighting point, including approximately £2 for energy.
