§ Mr. Buchanasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food on what date it is intended to transfer the safety functions at present being administered on an agency basis by his Department, and the staff involved, to the Health and Safety Executive.
§ Mr. PeartThe staff and agricultural organisations concerned have been consulted on the Health and Safety Executive's proposals for farm safety following the transfer of responsibility to the Health and Safety Commission. The Chairman of the Commission and I are at present considering the views received. In the meantime, the functions and staffing are the subject of interim arrangements made between the Executive and my Department.
