§ Mr. Hoyleasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what is the likely increase in the discharge of low-activity effluent in the Irish Sea due to reprocessing of nuclear waste; and what will be the effect on fish and plant life.
§ Mr. BishopI am advised that the increase in discharge of low level radioactive effluents as a result of any additional reprocessing work which may be undertaken would be insignificant. The effects on sea fish and marine plant life would be negligible.
