§ Mr. John SilkinIn 1974–75 local authorities in England contributed about £742,000 towards the work of community relations councils. None of this falls on my Department's Votes, since although it is relevant expenditure which counts in the calculation of rate support grant that grant is a block grant within which no sums are earmarked for particular purposes.
