Mr. Alan WilliamsThe Director General of Fair Trading performs his functions under the Fair Trading Act 1973 and the Consumer Credit Act 1974 throughout the United Kingdom. The arrangements for Scotland are a matter for him, and I have asked him to write to the hon. Member about them.
