§ Mr. Gwilym Robertsasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will ensure that, when he appoints a successor to Sir Richard Marsh as Chairman of British Rail, the appointee should have a knowledge of the railway industry and be a long-standing member of the Labour Party sympathetic to the social content of public ownership.
