§ 30. Mr. Ovendenasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what criteria he adopts in determining whether to erect crash barriers on all purpose roads constructed to motorway standards.
§ Mr. MarksIt is not usual to provide safety fences on the central reserves of 559W dual carriageways other than motorways. In circumstances where there is very heavy traffic and a high accident rate individual consideration may be given to the provision of safety fences having regard to availability of funds.
§ 43. Mr. Hooleyasked the Secretary of State for the Environment when centre crash barriers will be provided on the Ml in Yorkshire, north of the intersection with the M18.
