§ Mr. Steenasked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will list the number of community work projects operating under the Job Creation Programme.
§ Mr. Harold Walker,pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 8th March 1976; Vol. 907, c. 128], gave the following reply
I am informed by the Manpower Services Commission that 181 projects have been approved which involve "community work". This is defined as working with members of the community other than improvement of physical amenities for use by the community.
