Mr. James CallaghanThe emergence of the MPLA as the recognised Government in Angola and recent events in Mozambique have both made more urgent the need for the Rhodesian régime to accept early majority rule in that country and for South Africa to withdraw her troops from Angola and assist Namibia rapidly to secure its independence. The British Government will continue to make every effort to help find peaceful solutions to the problems of the area consistent with the legitimate aspirations of the African people and an 271W end to external intervention from all quarters.
