MorrisSubject to overriding economic considerations which may, as in present circumstances, lead the Government to defer or restrict the implementation of recommendations for salary increases, the salaries of chairmen of the nationalised industries are based on recommendations of the Top Salaries Review Body. The principles on which the Review Body formulates its advice are described in Chapter 5 of its Report No. 6 (Cmnd. 5846).
