§ Mr. Wigleyasked the Secretary of State for Energy (1) what was the average thermal efficiency of all electricity genera- 162W tiong power stations in England and Wales, respectively, in 1973–74 and 1974–75;
(2) what was the works cost of generation per kWh supplied of all electricity power stations in England and Wales, respectively, in 1973–74 and 1974–75;
(3) what proportion of the total electricity generated in England and Wales, respectively, was provided by nuclear power stations during the latest year for which data is available.
§ Mr. EadieI regret that recent separate details for England and Wales are not available in my Department. It may take a short time for the necessary details to be extracted—and calendar year information may be more readily available—but I have asked the Chairman of the Central Electricity Generating Board to write to the hon. Member as quickly as possible.
