Mr. Ronald Brown

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science (1) what representations he received from the Inner London Education Authority opposing his decision to advise the Authority to close Avery Hill Teachers Training College Annexe; and if he is satisfied that sufficient facilities are available in East London for training full-time mature students;

(2) on what date he advised the Inner London Education Authority to close Avery Hill Teachers Training College Annexe; and if he will publish his reasons for so doing.
