§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will give details of the sterling balances of Rhodesia held in the United Kingdom; and to what extent the Government have taken or will take from these balances the costs to the British taxpayer of the illegal actions committed by the Smith regime since UDI, including the costs of the various conferences and discussions which have ensued since that date.
§ Mr. Joel BarnettIt is not the practice to give details about the sterling balances held by the Reserve Bank of Rhodesia, which are reserved for the benefit of the people of Rhodesia as a whole, pending the restoration of a constitutional Government.
