§ Mr. Shersbyasked the Secretary of State for the Environment in how many cases he has exercised his powers to designate conservation areas in accordance with Section 277(4) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1971 as amended since 1st August 1974.
§ Mr. CroslandI have not so far exercised my power to designate a conservation area in accordance with Section 277(4) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1971 as amended. I would do so only in an exceptional case of national importance.
