§ Mr. Wigleyasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will state how many sports centres there are in Scotland; and how many new ones are currently being built.
§ Mr. William RossThere are 44 sports, leisure and community centres which provide for a wide range of sports activities, and are open to the general public, and five more such centres are under construction. A number of youth and community centres have substantial sports facilities but are normally available only to particular age or other groups; and the sports facilities at man yschools are available at certain times for youth and community use.
