HC Deb 02 March 1976 vol 906 c550W
59. Mr. Michael McGuire

asked the Minister for the Civil Service what further consideration is being given to the Skelmersdale New Town under the Government's dispersal programme.

Mr. Charles R. Morris

There are at present no proposals to disperse Government work to the Skelmersdale New Town. I assure my hon. Friend, however, that the interests of Skelmersdale, of the North-West and of the other assisted areas are, of course, always borne in mind when the location of any new work or the relocation of existing work is under consideration.
