HC Deb 02 March 1976 vol 906 c504W
Mr. William Hamilton

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether, in view of the further loss of jobs in the GEC factories in Fife, he will initiate financial help from the Scottish Development Agency to retrain workers from those factories in the production processes needed to produce modern Post Office equipment.

Mr. William Ross

As training questions are primarily the responsibility of the Manpower Services Commission through its executive arm, the Training Services Agency and Industrial Training Boards, I have asked by right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Employment to put my hon. Friend's suggestion to them, I am also drawing it to the attention of the Chairman of the SDA.
