§ Mr. Clinton DavisUp to 31st January 217 grants had been paid by local authorities on behalf of the British Airports Authority under the amended Heathrow Noise Insulation Grants Scheme introduced on 1st July last year; total cost to the Authority has been about £55,000, exclusive of some claims for reimbursement awaited from local authorities. By 31st January local authorities had, however, accepted as qualifying for grants a further 800 applications which are now being processed. The closing date for applications is 31st December 1977.
