§ 27. Mr. Hannamasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if, in the light of the figures of single-vehicle accidents and vehicles oveturning for the Model 70 invalid tricycle in comparison with adapted cars for the three and a half years ended 31st March 1976, he is satisfied that the handling characteristics of these vehicles are in accord with Government road safety policies.
§ Dr. GilbertInvalid tricycles meet all the statutory safety requirements which apply to them; any question of their improvement or the application of more stringent, specialised criteria is a matter for my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Social Services.
