§ 23. Mr. Sillarsasked the Secretary of State for Scotland when he next plans to meet representatives of both sides of Scottish industry to discuss Scottish economic prospects, especially unemployment.
§ Mr. Gregor MackenzieThe Scottish Economic Council, of which my right hon. Friend is Chairman, provides a forum for regular discussion of this nature. The council last met on 4th June and will do so again on 10th September. My right hon. Friend and I discussed the Scottish economy with the General Council of the STUC on 28th May, and I am presently making arrangements to meet the Scottish Council of the CBI.
