§ Mr. William Wilsonasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many persons are now detained in Her Majesty's prisons by reason of contempt of court; and what is the longest time any such person has been so detained.
§ Mr. JohnOn 27th May there were 41 people in prison for contempt of court. Of these, the one who had been in longest had spent 58 days in custody.
