Mr. Corbett

Mr. Marks

The questions asked at the roadside interview survey carried out on Al/A41 to the south of M1 on Tuesday 15th June were as followsCould you please tell me where you are going Could you give me the precise address, please Could you tell me the reason for your journey Could you please tell me the precise address from which you have just come Could you tell me the precise address at which this vehicle was garaged last night". In some cases further questions would have been asked to elucidate the answers.

These questions were addressed to (a) 7 per cent. of car drivers and (b) 5½ per cent. of commercial vehicle drivers.

The cost to public funds was £650.
