§ 57. Mr. Edwin Wainwrightasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will take steps to ensure that the casualty department at the Mexborough Montagu Hospital is kept open, each day, from 6 a.m. to 11.30 p.m. as minimum hours of service until the requisite number of medical staff can be obtained for a 24 hour service.

Friend to my reply to him on 27th January.—[Vol. 904, c.173–4.] At its meeting on 8th July, the Rotherham Area Health Authority will consider proposals on the opening hours of the casualty department of the Montagu Hospital, Mexborough, and in doing so will take account of comments received on its consultative document "Hospital Bed Provision 1977–78".
