§ Mr. Shore,pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 28th June 1976; Vol. 914, c. 35], circulated the following information:
As a residual figure in a very large account, the projected trend in the rate fund contribution depends on the figures for revenue and expenditure on other items, as indicated in Cmnd. 6393. My guidance to, and discussions with, local authorities on these matters, including the expenditure to be taken into account for rate support grant next year, will be based on those assumptions.
