§ 61. Mr. Andrew F. Bennettasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what is the expected change in cost between 1st April 1976 and 1st April 1977 in administering help to families in the United Kingdom, including family allowances, child benefit and tax allowances.
§ Mr. DeakinsThe cost, expressed in annual terms, of administering family allowances, child interim benefit and child tax allowances as at 1st April 1976 is some £32 million, as compared with an estimated cost of £48 million at 1st April 1977 for administering child benefit and child tax allowances.
