Mr. Alan WilliamsI share my hon. Friend's concern about the high levels of unemployment in his constituency. Mexborough is, however, an intermediate area, and regional development grants on new12W industrial buildings and selective financial assistance are available to encourage investment and the creation of new jobs. The area can also benefit from the various schemes we have introduced to alleviate some of the unemployment caused by the recession.
