§ Mr. Lawsonasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will list the statutory provisions governing the eligibility for interest relief of loans for the purchase of land, where the purchase precedes 51W the raising of the loan, irrespective of the period of time that has elapsed between these two events; and if, in the light of the recommendations of the Layfield Report, he intends to alter the rules relating to such relief.
