§ Mr. Litterickasked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many cases of food poisoning reported to his Department have originated in the consumption of fresh poultry; and how many from the consumption of frozen poultry during the last three years for which figures are available.
§ Dr. OwenIn my reply to the hon. Member for Banbury (Mr. Marten) on 11th March—[Vol. 907, c.298–9.]—I gave for the years 1972–1974 the numbers of outbreaks in which the vehicle of infection was established as being poultry. I regret that it is not possible to break these figures down into the two categories referred to by my hon. Friend.
