asked the Secretary of State for Employment what has been the reduction in the labour force in the textile industry over the past 12 months.

Mr. Golding

Provisional estimates indicate that between April 1975 and April 1976 the numbers of employees in employment in the textile industries in Great Britain decreased about 16,000, or 3.2 per cent.
