§ Mr. Crawfordasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what is the annual spending per capita on health in Norway and Sweden, respectively, at the latest date for which these figures are available; and what is the source of these figures.
§ Dr. OwenAccording to the World Health Organisation publication of 1975 "Health Services in Europe", which quotes information supplied by national Governments, expenditure on health services in 1971 was 6,359 million kroner in Norway and 12,630 million kroner in Sweden. It is not known whether these assessments were drawn up on a strictly comparable basis. At average rates of exchange for 1971 they would represent spendingper capita of £95 and £125 respectively.
