§ Mr. John Grant,pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 21st June 1976; Vol. 913, c. 377.], gave the following information:
The Hours of Employment (Conventions) Act 1936 defines "night" as a period of at least 11 consecutive hours, including the interval between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.
