§ 44. Mr. Michael McNair-Wilsonasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will bring forward proposals for improving the operating of rural transport.
§ Dr. GilbertI would refer the hon. Member to Chapter 6 of the Consultation Document on Transport Policy, and in particular to paragraphs 1, 7 and 8. The first meeting of the Steering Committee, which will oversee the rural transport experiments referred to, will take place on 29th June.
§ 47. Mr. Hicksasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what representations he has received to date relating to improving the provision of transport in 511W rural areas following publication of his Department's consultative report.
