Mr. Wrigglesworth

asked the Secretary of State for Employment (1) if he will extend the recruitment subsidy to all young people at present employed in job creation schemes, to assist in obtaining permanent employment for them;

(2) if he will increase the recruitment subsidy paid to employers from the present £5 to £8; and if he will extend it to all young people who have been employed for over three months.

Mr. Golding

The future of the Recruitment Subsidy for school leavers is now under review and an announcement will be made as early as possible.
