§ Mr. MulleyMy right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Scotland and I have decided that the rates of grant for postgraduate studentships awarded by the Education Departments and the Research Councils will be increased as follows: for students living away from home attending a London institution, from £1,180 to £1,380; for students living away from home attending an institution outside London, from £1,085 to £1,270; for students living in the parental home, from £790 to £925. These increases are in keeping with those recently announced for undergraduate students. Supplementary grants will be similarly adjusted.
