No detailed information is at present available about the qualifications held by the staff of local authority residential establishments other than those for children and young people, but it is believed that no more than about 4 per cent. of all residential care staff including staff in children's community homes have had relevant social work training. More detailed information about the qualifications of certain whole-time social services staff will be provided in the tables for 30th September 1975. Copies of these will be placed in the Library as soon as they are available.
