§ Mr. GoldingI am informed by the Manpower Services Commission that it is difficult to estimate how much has so far been spent by sponsors, since local authorities are paid quarterly in arrears and other sponsors are paid monthly in 255W arrears. Since March the average monthly approval rate has been around £5.2 million, but in the four weeks up to 11th June grants totalling £7.1 million were approved.
