§ Mr. Cartwrightasked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether, in view of the 25 per cent. reduction in his Department's loan approvals for housing association schemes during the current year compared with 1975–76, he will review urgently the provisional restriction on the Housing Corporation's lending to housing associations for 1976–77 to ensure that the corporation maintains the target agreed with his Department of loan approvals for 30,000 homes, mainly in areas of housing stress.
§ Mr. FreesonThe reduction in the Department's loan approvals for housing association schemes during 1976–77 compared with 1975–76 is confined to projects212W funded through local authorities. The Housing Corporation is not affected by this reduction.
