asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will list in the Official Report those local authorities which currently administer schemes by which children can obtain mid-day meals during holiday periods.

The latest information available relates to the financial year 1974–75 when the following local education authorities in England and Wales provided meals for school pupils on days when the schools did not meet: Cumbria, Durham, Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton, Wirral, Manchester, Stockport, Birmingham, Coventry, Dudley, Staffordshire, Leeds, Humberside, North Yorks, Avon, Dorset, Ealing, Harrow, Hillingdon, Hounslow, Newham, Waltham Forest, I.L.E.A., Gwent.
