HC Deb 14 June 1976 vol 913 c68W
Mr. Weetch

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if, in any future diplomatic contacts with Nigeria, he will take into account current contracts with Nigerian interests by British firms in East Anglia.

Mr. Rowlands

Yes. In contacts with the Nigerian authorities, as with those of other countries, British Ministers and officials always pay due regard to Britain's economic interests. These naturally include the interests of British companies in all parts of the country.
