§ Mr. Lawsonasked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will provide, for May 1976, figures for unemployment in the private and public sectors comparable to those given in his reply of 13th April to the hon. Member for Blaby (Official Report, 13th April, c. 444).
§ Mr. Golding, pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 27th May 1976; Vol. 912, c. 361], gave the following information:
Calculated on the same imprecise basis, the unemployed whose last job was in the private or public sectors, expressed as a proportion of total employees in these sectors, were 6.4 and 2.5 per cent. respectively.
