§ Mr. Joplingasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food how many herds during 1974 and 1975, except those in the South-West, were found not to be infected with tuberculosis and how many of those had received Irish animals during the previous two years.
§ Mr. StrangIn 1974, 46,081 herds were tested in Great Britain and found to be free of bovine tuberculosis: the figure for 1975 was 44,642. It is not known how many of these herds had received Irish animals in the previous two years, since inquiries about origins of animals comprising a herd are not normally made unless reactors are found.
