§ Mr. David Steelasked the Secretary of State for Social Services how much money is recovered from the estates of deceased persons under Section 26 of the Supplementary Benefit Act 1966.
§ Mr. DeakinsSums recovered from estates are mainly in respect of supplementary benefit, but include some amounts relating to the former national assistance scheme and it is not possible to separate these. Total amounts recovered over the past five years were:
